Maiko Performances with Traditional Kyoto-Style Dinner in Gion (Kyoto)
Dec 03, 2019 - Feb 04, 2020
A rare chance to spend some time with a genuine Kyoto maiko (aka geisha)! These traditional Japanese artists generally limit their performances to teahouses and restaurants with an exclusive culture that basically bars short-term visitors. Most foreign travelers aren't otherwise going to get to see a Kyoto maiko in action unless they're staying at the right hotel at the right time, so take advantage of this cool opportunity to admire elegant dances, play traditional ozashiki-asobi games, and just chat (via an interpreter) with these talented artists!
