Specially constructed large-scale installation art pieces featuring scenery from Ghibli films throughout the years, a life-size Totoro and cat bus you can walk into, Ponyo even larger than life, plus gorgeous illustrations and memorabilia from every Ghibli film up to When Marnie Was There, the Ghibli Expo is a dream come true for any fan of the studio. On top of that, the merchandise available in the giftshop is really too good to pass up (we are so very tempted by the French Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away art posters). This is a traveling exhibition, in Iwate for just a few months before it moves elswhere, and they've got some special limited-edition Iwate merch, so check it out before it's too late.
