❶ Furano, une touche de lavande dans votre Voyage
Furano est située dans la partie centrale d’Hokkaidō et cette petite ville rayonne à travers le pays de par ses magnifiques champs de lavande. Le nom de la ville est issu de la langue des Ainus (indigènes de l’île venant du Japon et de Russie) et signifie “flamme”.
C’est ici que la majeure partie de la production de lavande se tient. Pour profiter de ces champs colorés il est préférable de venir pendant les deux mois les plus chauds de l’été, Juillet et Août. De nombreux produits à base de lavande sont disponibles ici, bonne occasion d’en profiter. En plus de la lavande, tulipes et autres tournesols offrent leurs couleurs au lieu.
Cette Soupe de Curry permet de goûter aux produits frais d’Hokkaidō. On dit que ce plat a un large succès non seulement auprès des visiteurs japonais mais également auprès des touristes étrangers. Concernant le Curry Furanoya si vous souhaitez y goûter sans trop d’attente nous vous conseillons d’y être avant l’ouverture autours d’11h30. Le Lac Mashū est reconnu comme l’un des lacs à l’eau la plus transparente du monde. Ce lac a été formé dans un cratère volcanique et est recouvert la majeure partie de l’année par un épais brouillard. Il est situé à une altitude de 351 mètres et profond de 211,4 mètres.

Ce volcan encore en activité siège à 193m d’altitude. Dès votre arrivée vous serez surpris par la forte odeur de souffre des lieux. Le mont est fermé au public depuis l’accident de 2007.

Si vous avez toujours rêvé de visiter une prison japonaise ancestrale, celle d’Abashiri est faite pour vous. On peut en apprendre plus sur la vie des prisonniers de l’époque et même goûter au plat de la cantine.
Shiretoko se situe dans la partie Est de l’île d’Hokkaidō. C’est l’endroit rêvé pour profiter de la Nature sous toutes ses formes : falaises, chutes d’eau, faune et flore, etc…
Ce lieu a été inscrit au Patrimoine Mondial en 2005. Beaucoup de voyageurs préfèrent d’ailleurs la moto à la voiture pour respirer l’air frais des lieux. Vous pouvez également admirer les coulées de glace pendant la période hivernale.
Il est extrêmement important d’être vigilant avec la faune environnante d’autant plus en voiture. Nous vous donnons trois conseils à ne pas négliger :

② Ne nourrissez pas les animaux que vous pourriez croiser
③ Faites bien attention aux ours sauvages!
L’île d’Hokkaidō étant plutôt large et assez mal desservie en transports la solution ‘location’ vous offre une liberté que vous ne pourriez pas obtenir autrement. Quoi de mieux que de découvrir des lieux reculés et de vous arrêter quand bon vous semble.

International skiiers are especially fond of Zao Onsen Ski Resort and Gassan Ski Resort, and in recent years visitors have been drawn to the area to see the mystical sight of local frost-covered trees. Some destinations are popular regardless of the season, like Risshakuji Temple, AKA Yamadera, Ginzan Onsen's nostalgic old-fashioned streets, and Zao's Okama Lake, all great for taking pictures. Yamagata is also the place to try Yonezawa beef, one of the top 3 varieties of wagyu beef.

Kagoshima Prefecture played a major role in Japan's modernization as a backdrop for famous historical figures like samurais Saigo Takamori and Okubo Toshimichi, who pushed Japan out of the Edo era and into the Meiji.
