Over the past century, the vibrant colors and striking silhouettes of Henri Matisse’s body of work have become an iconic part of 20th-century art, bringing Fauvism to the fore and liberating color from the confines of natural realism. Check out this exhibition at the National Art Center, Tokyo to see what Matisse was all about: admire close to 150 works from the artist along with items from the archive of the Musée Matisse in Nice, France, from huge “Cut-Out” collages to unexpected items like interior decor.
