Welcome to the World of Q-ROOMS. HARAJUKU: Themed Chocolate Rooms by Q-pot.
The story goes like this: a mysterious chocolate-inspired mansion has suddenly appeared in Harajuku. Are you ready to discover what Q-pot. has dreamed up this time?
Q-ROOMS. HARAJUKU is a new venture from the Japanese sweets-inspired accessory brand Q-pot., and the quaint brick building is comprised of nine uniquely themed rooms, which include one-of-a-kind immersive accommodations as well as some seriously tempting eats (as you might expect of a Q-pot. collaboration). After the official grand opening on July 12th, 2025, Rooms 7, 8, and 9 now offer guests a chance to escape the everyday and indulge in a decadent stay – an opportunity limited to just three groups per day. But whether you book a room or not, there are quite a few tasty surprises for anyone who visits this immersive Q-pot. experience.

Three Chocolate-Themed Rooms in the Middle of Tokyo

The Bitter Chocolate Room is described as “elegant and refined,” decorated in a rich chocolate palette only fitting for the sophisticated flavor of a dark chocolate bar. The spacious room (much larger than your average Tokyo hotel room) has twin beds, a kitchenette, a small dining table with a pair of stools, and its own rather luxurious sunroom with a comfortable sofa for relaxation. The original Q-pot. chocolate-themed wallpaper combines with rich brown flooring and tiles to make one indulgent room perfect for chocolate lovers.

Perfectly pink and accented with whipped cream wallpaper, the Strawberry Chocolate Room is a dream-come-true for anyone dying to live the pretty princess lifestyle. This decadent suite has twin beds surrounded by pink chocolate bar wallpaper in one room, and a full living room with pink curtains and a convenient kitchenette. The blend of strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate comes to life in this exquisitely detailed suite.

Refreshing and bright, the Mint Chocolate Room offers a clean, cheerful vibe with plenty of natural light and pale green decorations designed to whisk guests away in a wave of minty bliss. The fun bunk bed setup makes this room a great choice for families with kids or groups of friends, and the spacious kitchen with a full island counter makes it especially convenient. It’s the sweet biscuit-themed accents around the door and on the coffee table that will really charm visitors, though.

As if the fantastic decorations weren’t enough to convince us to stay, the guest rooms in Q-ROOMS. HARAJUKU also come with amenities custom-designed by Q-pot.! That includes cute chocolate-themed toothbrush sets and themed mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but also a selection of original teas and coffee from Q-pot CAFE.
Reservations & Pricing
Each of the rooms at Q-ROOMS. HARAJUKU sleeps up to four guests, and prices currently start at 88,000 yen per night (expect higher on weekends and holidays). It’s certainly not a cheap stay, by any means, but for many fans, the chance to spend the night immersed in the sweet world of Q-pot. and wake up in the middle of Harajuku is priceless!
Room 3: Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at Age.3 × Q (Age.3 Harajuku)

Guests can’t stay in the other rooms, but they can certainly visit, and we suspect Room 3 will soon be a hot spot for travelers visiting Harajuku. Age.3’s original location in Ginza has become a vital stop on many Tokyo food tours thanks to their viral cream-filled fried sandwiches, and Q-pot. designer Tadaaki Wakamatsu has turned their new Harajuku location into a whimsical world of mysterious little friends and floating chairs. Why is everything floating, you may ask? Well, that’s because it’s fry…ing. (Yes, really.)

Age.3 fans will be particularly excited to try the 3 new fried sandwiches exclusive to the shop: Choco, Strawberry, and Matcha Dress Crepe – each stuffed with cream, dressed up in a frill of thin pancake, and decorated with an extra macaron for good measure. Q-pot. fans will want to check out the t-shirts, tote bags, bandanas, and folding fans decorated with floating keys, locks, and chocolate bars.

Room 2: Slurp Up Some Xialongbao at Obake no Shouronpou (Fujishin Zerogouten)

Finally, Q-ROOMS. HARAJUKU invites you to meet a ghostly Xiaolongbao resident from Fujishin (a specialty steamed bun shop from Dalian, China), who has traveled through time and traversed 200 years to share its secret recipe and help Fujishin make its debut in Japan. The story might be a little convoluted, but there’s nothing hard to understand about the colorful xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and steamed meat buns at the shop, which are both flavorful and visually appealing! This shop has its own line of exclusive Q-pot. designed merchandise, and we’d be lying if we said we weren’t tempted by the adorable soup dumpling ghost who traveled so far to bring us good food!

A Message From Q-pot.
In a pre-open interview, Q-pot. designer Tadaaki Wakamatsu explained that the brand has always strived to spread smiles across the world, and after the pandemic, he realized how important it was that here – Harajuku – was included as a part of the wider world. Wakamatsu is hoping “to share joy from my home ground with guests from around the globe,” so for fans of Q-pot.’s sugary-sweet designs, a one-of-a-kind escape is waiting in Harajuku!
