丸の内イルミネーション2023〜2024

This annual event brings a little holiday cheer to the Marunouchi area, right outside Tokyo Station, and adds a bit of sparkle to an already high-end shopping area. More than a million champagne-gold lights glitter in the trees lining the street (using eco-friendly low-energy bulbs) for more than a kilometer-long stretch of the Marunouchi main street as the main event! And this year, they’re extending the lights further than ever before, including a part of Gyoko-dori (which leads to the imperial palace) for a limited time! Relax and enjoy this magical atmosphere, only found in the crisp air of Tokyo’s colder months.

All of the lights used for Marunouchi Illumination are powered by renewable energy sources like solar and wind, too!
