This popular handicraft market has been going on for years, taking over the grounds of Kyoto’s Chionji Temple on the 15th of every month, and filling it with stalls selling all kinds of hand-made goods! Fun accessories and elegantly crafted clothes, cool home goods and kitchenware, even freshly baked bread and hand-crafted caramels (try plum flavor!), the market has a huge variety of unique items to check out. If you’re looking for a really special souvenir to bring home from Japan, you’ll find plenty here, and lots of things are surprisingly reasonably priced.
