Shiota Chiharu is an artist known for work that, as the exhibition puts it, “express[es] the intangible: memories, anxiety, dreams, silence and more.” Deeply striking in terms of both concepts and visuals, some of her most famous work consists of webs of string stretched across rooms, both trapping the items inside and holding them together. The Soul Trembles will include work from Shiota’s 25 years as part of the art scene, making up her largest-ever solo exhibition.
