第39回ひがしもこと芝桜まつり

From May to Early June, spread across a vast Hokkaido hillside, this festival celebrates the huge swathes of pink and white "shibazakura" (芝桜) flowers (also called moss phlox) that cover Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park. The naturally vivid pink is patchworked across 10 hectares and dotted with designs in white flowers. Even in a country with a love for "kawaii," this much pink is a sight to be seen! Visit on May 14th or 21st to see some special musical performances, as well.
