北斎 大いなる山岳
Across the world, Katsushika Hokusai is renowned for his depictions of Mount Fuji, looming majestically in the background of many dozens of his works. But Japan has been worshipping mountains since ancient times, so perhaps it’s no surprise that Hokusai’s famous Views of Mount Fuji are just some of his many mountainous pieces! Climb up rocky mountain paths, pick your way through mountainside legends, and gaze at lonely peaks from afar in this exhibition at Tokyo’s dedicated Hokusai museum.
