文京あじさいまつり

This festival celebrating beautiful hydrangea bushes has been held at the Hakusan Shrine in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward every year since 1985 - except for short covid break - inviting visitors from around the world to spend an afternoon enjoying the 3000 hydrangeas inside the shrine's garden. This year's event schedule includes morning concerts, and an opportunity for dental consultations (!?), a tradition for the shrine. And for just a limited time, the shrine's "miniature Mt. Fuji" hydrangea garden will be opened to the public, allowing visitors to climb a glorious mountain of colorful flowers.
