Since Yomiuriland’s Hana-Biyori botanical garden opened in spring 2020, it has quickly become a popular place to spend time outside and take pretty pictures among the ample flowers and trees, not far from central Tokyo. Of course, the chilly weather and crisp winter air lead to fewer bright flowers blooming in the open-air gardens, but winter also brings the start of the yearly special light-up event at Hana-Biyori. Check out Hana-Akari after sunset to enter what feels like a secret garden glowing with bamboo lanterns, and stroll the romantic garden paths!
