Jean-Michael Basquiat (1960 – 1988) first became known for his graffiti, then achieved international fame through his neo-expressionist paintings, and is now so popular in Japan that his art is frequently featured on Uniqlo t-shirts. This exhibition features 130 of the many works he managed to create in his short 10 year art career, along with a focus on his connections to Japan.
