This year, enjoy Golden Week with a little extra Okinawa flair at Yomiuriland, Tokyo’s largest theme park. For just a week this spring, visitors will find a whole host of Okinawan musical performances, Okinawan drum shows, Okinawa-style craft workshops, local cuisine like Okinawa soba and more all alongside the roller coasters and ferris wheels of this popular Japanese amusement park. Even the botanical garden, called Hana-Biyori, is getting in on the Okinawa fun for Golden Week, by showing off some special tropical plants and offering workshops using little Okinawan glass flower pots! So enjoy the lovely spring weather and enjoy a little bit of Okinawan culture at Yomiuriland’s special Golden Week event!
