世田谷パン祭り
Tokyo’s Setagaya neighborhood is known for its bakeries, making it a great place to celebrate bread of all kinds: fluffy and white, dense and brown, delicate and flakey, or hearty with a good bite. This year, local bakeries will be offering some of their most popular items alongside a selection of limited-edition bakes only available at the festival, like unique chocolate-flavored naans, black sesame bread stuffed with chestnuts, and tricolor vegetable bread. Plus, those who love the flavor of nostalgia might also be intrigued by the “retro local breads,” representing a selection of popular baked snacks in plastic packaging, all from decades past. Join the crowd of fellow carbohydrate lovers in Setagaya Park this October, to try bread from dozens of bakeries at the two-day bread market, and stop in at all the local shops for even more bready festivities! (You can even sign up for bread-related courses and lectures!)
