北斎バードパーク
If visitors to this exhibition are left with just one impression, it will probably be this: over the length of his career, Hokusai drew quite a few birds. Check out the “Hokusai Bird Park” to see the many different birds that drew the eye of Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868), and see just how Hokusai used them in his art: as simple decoration, or to represent a certain scene, setting, or mood.
