Love Japan’s elegant traditional kimono? This exhibition is all about admiring the garments’ beauty, with kimono-themed art and carefully coordinated kimono displays, themed after Taisho and Showa era magazines and fashion pamphlets. Stylist Chieko Iwata is using the exhibition as an outlet to show all the different ways kimono can be arranged and put together, and encourage people in modern Japan to wear kimono without fear or constraint.
