特別展 ポンペイ
In 79 AD, the city of Pompeii was swallowed up by the dust and debris released by the volcanic eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius. In more recent centuries, the beautifully preserved artifacts and architectural remains have been rediscovered, and this exhibition of almost 150 different precious pieces of Pompeii is finally making its way to Japan for the first time ever! Feast your eyes on the lives lived by everyday people two millennia ago, conveniently presented in the Tokyo National Museum – just 10 minutes from Ueno Station.
