If you grew up reading shoujo manga, it would have been hard to avoid the many famous series published by Ribon. The popular shoujo manga magazine has been around since 1955, with its peak popularity coming in the early ’90s. Late 1993 saw the magazine selling 2.55 million copies, with some hugely popular series gracing the pages. The exhibition will also focus on this golden period for the magazine, letting visitors return to their childhoods and admire original art and more from stories like Marmelade Boy, and talented illustrators like Ai Yazawa (of Nana and Paradise Kiss fame).
Plus, you can pick up a different original bookmark every day with the purchase of a ticket.
