Yoshida Hiroshi: Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of His Death (Mie)
Apr 01, 2021 - May 30, 2021
Seventy years after the death of Japanese woodblock print artist Yoshida Hiroshi, this exhibition displays a number of his works, showing the way his own unique style blended Western influence and traditional Japanese technique to create beautiful landscapes. Yoshida's subjects ranged from classic scenes of Mt. Fuji, to the less common settings of landmarks in the US and even the Taj Mahal, and he's known today as one of the biggest names of the "shin-hanga" art style.
