Japan’s oldest firework festival! If you look up the Sumida River Fireworks Festival (隅田川花火大会) you might be confused by the fact that it’s only been going for 42 years, but don’t let the name fool you! The event actually reaches back to beginnings in 1733.
This time the event is featuring the Pokemon movie MEWTWO STRIKES BACK: EVOLUTION, firing 157 fireworks on the theme. The whole event will include more than 20,000 fireworks over a period of two hours.
