Comic Market has a history of more than 40 years, and has grown into a regular Tokyo event, consistently drawing 35,000 publishing groups and more than 500,000 attendees over the multiday convention. Booths from comic publishers and independent artists fill the halls, alongside tons of others showing off upcoming video games, signing autographs for adoring fans, selling clothing, accessories, board games, stationery... you name it! Plus, just about every other kind of table, display, or stage in between. No matter what kind of nerd you are, there's likely something for you to enjoy at Comiket.

Like many events, the COVID-19 pandemic hit Comiket hard, canceling the market for two full years in a row. But, with safety in mind and somewhat limited attendance, the event has returned! Within a few years, it looks like it will be bouncing back better than ever.

If you want to look at the full catalog of participants and a map detailing where every single booth will be, an online version (website registration necessary, but totally free) will go up a couple months ahead of time!

(If you're a little confused by the name, don't worry, comiket and comike are just nicknames for the comic market!)
