02. Former Hokkaido Government Office

Just 3 minutes walk from Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo, you can find this red brick building which was used as the Hokkaido Government Office for about 80 years. Don't miss this great photo spot!

03. Sapporo Ramen Yokocho (Street)

Since a Chinese restaurant was opened in front of the Hokkaido University back in 1921, there were more and more ramen shops opened on the same street. Now there are 16 ramen shops opened here! It is a great place to visit if you want to try the original miso ramen!

04. Sapporo Beer Garden

It was actually a candy factory when it was first opened in 1890. In 1966, it became a beer garden! Beer lovers cannot miss this place!

05. Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill

"Boys be ambitious!"

Dr. William Smith Clark, the father of pioneers in Hokkaido and man who left the famous words "boys be ambitious", is the model of the sculpture created by sculptor Tando Saka.

06. Otaru Canal

Otaru canal was built and completed in 1923. This 1140 meters long canal was first used to carry products to the warehouses. Now it is a famous spot for many visitors!

08. Lake Shikaribetsu

Located in the center of Hokkaido, the whole lake is frozen in winter! Making use of this special moment, various festival and artworks are held and created every year from January to March. You can also try the foot bath here!
